FAQ

Questions, answered.

The kits, the systems, the boundary, and what happens when your prototype is ready.

Common questions

Everything, in one place.

01 · Is a Forge kit a product I can sell? +
No. Forge kits produce rough prototypes — approximately 60% of a finished commercial product. They are designed for formula validation, not retail sale. If you want to take your formula to market, the next step is MHS manufacturing.
02 · Do you tell me what formula to make? +
No — that judgement is yours. Forge publishes what is in the box and the statutory daily maximums you must stay under, and nothing in between: no starting formula, no suggested dose. What is fixed is the kit itself. The ingredient lists and pack sizes are standardised and there are no substitutions, which is what keeps the system operationally consistent and the quality reliable across every kit. Custom formulation work happens at the MHS manufacturing stage.
03 · How much material do I get? +
Between 13 and 21 pre-weighed pouches, and between 370 g and 4.4 kg of raw material, depending on the kit. How many prototypes that yields is up to you — Forge publishes no serve size, because it publishes no formula. There is enough to adjust mix ratios repeatedly, trial multiple flavour directions, and make a genuine assessment of whether your formula is worth taking to production.
04 · Do I need the flavour and sweetener systems? +
Strongly recommended. Most of these raw materials are bitter amino acids, electrolytes, herbal extracts, or dense fibres that are unpleasant to drink without flavour or sweetening. The flavour system is what makes your prototype evaluable as an actual product. Without it, you’re assessing chemistry — not a formula you can present or taste-test meaningfully.
05 · What do I do when my prototype is ready? +
Contact MHS. They’ll take your validated prototype through professional flavour development, compliance review, and commercial-scale production. See the Manufacture with MHS page to start.
06 · Are the kits safe to taste-test? +
Each kit ships with a limits card and an instruction sheet that names its specific cautions — stimulants, botanicals, electrolytes, or fibre titration. Stay under the stated daily maximums, and don’t use kits during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for children, or alongside relevant medicines without clinician review.
07 · How is my kit shipped? +
Kits are packed and dispatched by MHS in Australia. Shipping times and costs are shown at checkout; returns follow the refund policy — unopened kits only, given the nature of raw-ingredient products. See the shipping policy for detail.
08 · Who actually makes the kits? +
Manufacturing Health Solutions — a Brisbane-based, family-owned contract supplement manufacturer (licence FL-653816, HACCP 500-25350-H). Forge is MHS’s consumer prototyping brand: the same team that packs your kit manufactures commercial supplement runs every week.
